I took this picture from our bedroom window.  We have cows in the field beyond our backyard we enjoy watching.  The children are delighted to see them.  The farmer lets his cows graze on his field after the harvest every fall.

Having cows in our backyard has raised some interesting questions from Jeffrey.  He asks us, "Do cows pee?"  We say, "Yes, Jeffrey, they do."  "Do cows sleep?" "Yes, Jeffrey, they do." "Do cows take naps?" "Yes, Jeffrey, they do."...even though we haven't spotted a sleeping cow during the day. :)

• If you ever want a great "pass time" watch cows. It is amusing. Especially as they get up right close to the fence. Jeffrey will go out and climb up onto his fort outside to get a better look. The cows are very skeptical of this little boy, so they give a nice glare, turn around and graze elsewhere. Sound boring? Oh, but with children, it couldn't be better.
