"Whatever She Wants"

So while Daniel took Jeffrey to Wall-e, I had some Mommy-Cambree time. Of course right after we finished dinner she said, "naps" which interpreted means "I'm ready to go to bed." I had been looking forward to some one-on-one Cambree time all day. An evening when she can stay up and do whatever she wants to. Anything but go to bed! I tried to persuade her that we could dance, or play the piano, listen to music, play with her baby doll or stuffed monkey, or bake cookies, or go outside, read books . . . "No. Naps." Until, ". . . or play in the bath" That seemed to spark any interest at all, so I let her have a bath. She splashed and played for quite a while. After the bath I was insistent on doing something out of the ordinary. So I held Cambree the entire time we baked peanut butter cookies. She enjoyed dumping the ingredients into the bowl and eating the dough, but she didn't last long. I ended up giving in to whatever she wanted to do. So for the rest of the evening I read books.
